Player ratings

Find Your Skill Level

USA Pickleball uses a 2.0–5.0+ rating system. DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is the emerging global standard. Here's what each level means.

DUPR Explained

What is DUPR?

DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is the world's most accurate pickleball rating system, used by over 3 million players across 80+ countries. Unlike self-rating systems, DUPR calculates your rating algorithmically based on your actual match results — wins, losses, and score margins against rated opponents.

Injury Prevention Guide

Pickleball injuries are rising with the sport's popularity. Here's how to prevent the most common ones and keep playing longer.

🔥 The 5-Minute Pre-Game Warm-Up

Most pickleball injuries happen in the first 10 minutes of play on cold muscles. This routine takes 5 minutes and dramatically reduces injury risk.

⚡ Scoring Quick Reference

Singles
Two numbers called: Server score — Receiver score. Server in right court when server's score is even, left when odd.
Doubles
Three numbers: Server score — Receiver score — Server number (1 or 2). First server of each game starts as Server 2.
Win condition
First to 11 points, win by 2. Tournament games sometimes play to 15 or 21. Rally scoring is used in some formats.

💡 How DUPR ratings actually change

Your rating moves more when you beat someone rated higher than you, less when you beat someone lower. A close loss to a stronger player can actually raise your rating. Pickleball Connect was built by a player who got tired of bouncing between six different websites to find a tournament, check a rule, compare paddles, and locate a doubles partner. We built the site we always wanted — one place for all of it.

Why Pickleball Connect

We're different. Here's how.
